Poor Adam. Maybe Elena should have asked Sally to make the decision? Her life or the baby's. What a weight to put on someone else. I hope Nick can make her realize that she shouldn't blame Adam.
Glen Burnie, I agree, it should have been Sally's decision. Elena did mention that both Sally's and the baby's life could be at risk. At that time Elena could have asked Sally what her choice would have been. The writers clearly did not want to write Sally off, but an unseen baby can be written off I guess.
At this point I believe the writers are deliberately fucking with us. They know over 70% want Sally and Adam back together and they keep writing crap that jeeps them apart. Hence Sally blaming Adam for the lost of the baby.
Sally, you going to blame Adam for his decision to save your life, without blaming yourself for the stress that caused you to lose your child, which is worring about Nick a man that is in love with Sharon!!
Sally, Adam told you over and over again that Sharon is the love of Nick life you REFUSED to listen . Also, you continued to stressed about Nick safety and you put your child life second and now you want to blame Adam, without feeling his pain!!!
If someone were ever unfortunate enough to to go through such a painful situation, I would wish for them to have a better doctor and communicator than Elena, she was awful, the way she had Adam make that choice like he had to choose between two types of food or something and now she's the one exposing him to Sally. Is it really how doctors communicate in the U.S? Or is it merely because it is a soap? I remember when my cousin lost her unborn child the doctors told her about all the complications but waited for her to recover physically and mentally to calmly inform her that her stressful daily routine was what caused the bleeding, because the psychological state of the patient could cause trouble.
Unfortunately it is the way doctors act on the U.S.. Didn't use to be that way until they became pill pushers instead of actual doctors.
As for the reason for Sally's stress that's squarely on Nick. Hopefully the writers will have sally realize that and realize Adam was put on an impossible position.
I remember when a cousin of mine had a difficult pregnancy, including very high blood pressure. Thankfully, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. However, after she was given time to recover psychologically and physically, the doctors calmly informed her that she would not be able to have any more children.
Elena's not a bad doctor. She had to ask Adam because Sally was not conscious and Adam is the father of the baby. The better choice would have been to ask Sally when she told her both her life and the baby's could be at risk.
The fact is Sally did not put her baby first or even herself second. If someone told me my blood pressure was sky high I would be laying in that bed with my mouth shut and not thinking of anything or anyone except my unborn baby. I would be repeating one sentence in my mind over and over. That sentence would be "Stay calm and save my baby". I would just lay there and think that over and over and over and that is it. End of story. She had no reason to even be thinking of Nick in the situation she was in. I really wonder in real life if a doctor sees a woman clearly not in control of her own emotions if they would give her a sedative to sleep. I know drugs aren't good for the baby but in this case I think it would be of benefit.
Also, imho, regarding the decision that had to be made about whose life to save, given Sally's emotional and physical conditional, her state of mind, I don't think she would have been able to have decided it. Jmvho

I really feel for Adam...It was a decisione that was emotionally hard to make...Hope the writers do the right thing and make Adam and Sally get back together...they belong together.... thank you Bob...great weekend to to you π
Sally has herself and only herself to blame for not controlling her own emotions. A person has to be their own master and not let anyone else influence them when they are in a survival situation. She should not have had any thoughts of what Nick was up to while she was in a critical situation. She is the priority, not Nick.
PMH, hmm, I respectfully disagree with your first sentence. Given the overwhelming (and that's putting it mildly) situation Sally was in, I don't think she was able to control her emotions. They were swirling all over the place and complicated by her hormonal changes. jmho
I do agree that she should not have had any thoughts about Nick's whereabouts while she was in a critical situation.
The right brother for Sally - Adam - has been and continues to be with her all through her crisis.
Cord, I totally agree once she was in the hospital it was too late for her to control her emotions. I was referring to when Adam hid her shoes. Her emotions were out of control. She should have controlled herself then, but she was talking really fast and couldn't get Nick off of her mind and was begging Adam to tell her what is going on with Nick and him not telling her anything was making her think the worst. All of her thoughts were about Nick that night and she was not thinking about her baby or herself and those out of control thoughts is the reason she ended up in the hospital. She had already been warned by her OBGYN to take it easy but she didn't listen.
Kudos to everyone involved in this past week's episodes, the actors and the people behind the scenes. Imho, in the relatively short time I've been watching the show, this was y&r at it's finest.
I hope Sally blaming Adam doesn't last long.
ReplyDeleteNow as for Chance and the bomb here's hoping he followed the tunnels to where they are under the main house and he then sets it off.
I hope Sally doesn't blame Adam to long that was a tough choice to make.
DeletePoor Adam. Maybe Elena should have asked Sally to make the decision? Her life or the baby's. What a weight to put on someone else. I hope Nick can make her realize that she shouldn't blame Adam.
ReplyDeleteI meant when Sally first came in, and Elena realized how serious things were.

ReplyDeleteHow do we enlarge page to full screen?
ReplyDeleteThere is a little square down at the right hand side.
DeletePMH, wow, ITA with everything you've said here.
DeleteAlso, imho, regarding the decision that had to be made about whose life to save, given Sally's emotional and physical conditional, her state of mind, I don't think she would have been able to have decided it. Jmvho

DeleteHow do I access full screen for this show?
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that her doctors didn't think she need bed rest til the baby was born. The added stress was and is because of Nickompoop.
ReplyDeleteI really feel for Adam...It was a decisione that was emotionally hard to make...Hope the writers do the right thing and make Adam and Sally get back together...they belong together.... thank you Bob...great weekend to to you π
ReplyDeleteAriel, ITA. And have a great weekend too.
DeleteI hope they get back together too! It just seems more right, Adam and Sally. Nick and Sharron
