Sally made the wrong choice. She said she wants to provide for her daughter and set an example, but turns down an opportunity to do just that. I do think she did it because she is afraid of working on a daily basis with Adam and getting too close. She is protecting her heart, what a shame.

Sally is indeed trying her best to avoid that truth Betty. She is clearly in love with Adam and is hoping that by distancing herself from Adam she will finally get over him and make a life with nick. But sadly, nick is only going to break her heart and probably end up back with Sharon once he sees how crazy this relationship is and how much it hurts his family, especially Summer.
